More than Half a Million Rubles: University Will Support Students from Afghanistan

Students will receive special payments and will be placed in dormitories

Students of the Ural Federal University from Afghanistan will get 25,000 rubles each. The university will spend over half a million rubles to support them.

"The situation in the homeland of our Afghan students is changing rapidly. We understand what a difficult situation they find themselves in: air flights are suspended, many will have difficulties with migration laws, studies, housing and employment. University specialists will provide assistance on all these issues. In addition, we are ready to provide psychological assistance," says Victor Koksharov, rector of the Ural Federal University.

The head of the university adds that all Afghan students will be provided with a place in dormitories.

At present time 30 students from Afghanistan study at the Ural Federal University, and 23 of them stay in Russia.

At UrFU, Shaheen graduated from the Institute of State Administration and Entrepreneurship (now the Institute of Economics and Management), and during her studies she researched the specifics of entrepreneurship in Islamic countries.
