University Will Strengthen Cooperation with Kyrgyz Partner

Ural Federal University visited the heads of Osh State University

Ural Federal University will support academic mobility and the creation of joint educational programs with Osh State University, the largest university of Kyrgyz Republic. The delegation of the Kyrgyz university visited UrFU to discuss the directions of cooperation.

Kojobekov Kudayberdi, Rector of Osh State University, Dilmurat Tursunov, Director of Graduate School of International Educational Programs, Semetey Amiraliev, Head of Academic Mobility Department, Zhusubakmat Turdammatov, Senior Referent of the General Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ekaterinburg, presented the Osh State University.

"We are ready to help and cooperate in many areas. For example, we see the creation of joint network programs as promising. These are excellent opportunities for sharing experiences and using best practices from both sides," emphasized Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.

The participants also discussed the creation of online courses for staff development, cooperation in research activities, joint participation in international projects, and FISU Summer World University Games 2023.

"We were very impressed by your university and its scale. The fact that you are dealing with the economy of the entire region and Russia as a whole. I hope that after our visit the relationship will reach a new level and we will continue our fruitful cooperation. And, of course, we are waiting for you with a visit to the city of Osh," said Kojobekov Kudayberdi, Rector of Osh State University.

The universities have been cooperating for more than 10 years with the joint training of master’s degree students in energy and scientific projects supported.

More than 26,000 students study at Osh State University, and 76 specialties are open to them. The university develops digital educational technologies and demonstrates a high reputation in the Central Asian region.

The Ural Federal University is developing partnerships with 15 universities, research centers, and organizations of Kyrgyzstan. Currently 55 students from the Kyrgyz Republic study at UrFU for degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, Chemistry, and Organization of Work with Youth. The university has a Kyrgyz community.
