Registration for the Golden Internship Contest Has Started

Starting February 21, students of Russian universities can submit an application for a practical introduction to leading Russian employers. The Golden Internship contest is organized by the Career Time project of the "Russia - Land of Opportunities" presidential platform together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Ural Federal University.

More than 200 internships in the areas of industry, information technology, science, economics and management, marketing, and HR are available to participants on the Golden Internship website. Most of the submitted offers are paid, and some companies support the relocation of students during the internship program.

"The internship format is becoming increasingly popular among Russian students: we received more than 2,500 applications at the pre-registration stage. The Golden Internship mechanism is designed specifically for students without work experience, and participation in the competition will help them navigate the labor market. Until April 24th we are waiting for those who want to learn how to find a good job, to show their knowledge and to get to know a real company this summer," said Alexey Agafonov, Deputy Director General of Russia - Land of Opportunities.

Golden Internship was supported by more than 100 Russian companies, including: Rosatom, VK, MTS, Novostal'-M, Krastsvetmet, Accenture. The contest is organized in several stages and will last until the end of spring.

At the first stage, until April 24, participants will have to select positions of interest and fill out their CVs. Students from all Russian universities, regardless of city or year of study, can apply: the offered internship programs are launched specifically for young job seekers.

Then, by April 27, all participants will be offered a special aptitude test designed according to the standards of major international companies. Depending on the internship chosen, by May 11 students will also present case solutions from employers aimed at diagnosing professional knowledge.

"At all stages, participants have access to career advice on how to fill out a CV, how to behave at an interview, etc. More than 140 articles, webinars and videos were prepared by experts of Ural Federal University and HR-specialists of leading Russian companies especially for students," said Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.

On May 18, the interview stage begins for the successful participants of the Golden Internship. Students will be invited to online meetings with HR specialists and company managers. Based on the results of all stages of the selection process, the organizers of the competition will determine the finalists.

The results of the Golden Internship will be announced on June 10. During the summer break, the best participants will test real jobs in companies and receive valuable prizes from the organizers and partners.
