ACAR Practicum Course Development Agreed at the University

A meeting was held with the executive directorate of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia

The joint ACAR Practicum course of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia and the Ural Federal University will be developed. Representatives of the Ural Institute of Humanities at Ural Federal University agreed on this at a meeting at the university.

"We understand that for a long time universities have been training professionals with general competencies, but now we are striving to develop applied educational programs in partnership with employers. The ACAR Practicum course - is a great opportunity for students from several of our fields to get a job with the best employers," said Elvira Symanyuk, Director of the Ural Institute of Humanities.

The ACAR Practicum course has already produced nine streams of graduates. The project was initiated in 2017 by ACAR Ural and the Ural Federal University Press Service to provide students and university staff with the opportunity to get relevant experience in the marketing field. Lectures and master classes regularly involve heads of the largest regional agencies and marketing and advertising market experts from Moscow. Now the course will be even more actively integrated into the educational process of the corresponding Ural Institute of Humanities training areas. Its program will be supplemented with actual tools and platforms. The association is also planning to launch an in-depth digital practical course with the university. The program has already been worked out with leading industry experts.

"A special feature of the new course will be the active work of students with advertising offices. This will be real practice in digital marketing on all popular platforms. We create this course for students who are already familiar with advertising accounts, have minimal experience and are ready for intensive work," said Ekaterina Kindruk, ACAR Ural director.

One of the promising areas could also be cooperation with the association of students in the Digital Humanities program. Graduate students study data analysis, web design, and digital methods in history, art history, psychology, and museum practice.
