New UnionPay cards from Gazprombank will make it possible

Foreign students and faculty of Ural Federal University will be able in the near future to quickly receive money transfers from other countries to pay for tuition and other needs. UnionPay cards by Gazprombank will make this possible. This was announced by Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU, at the meeting with international students.

"We are doing everything possible to solve the problems that have arisen. From a number of countries the transfer of money to Russia is indeed delayed. We negotiated with the management of Gazprombank and agreed to issue such cards to our foreign students and professors, they allow them to receive payments from 178 countries," said Victor Koksharov.

The university is assured that the new cards will solve the problems that foreign students and faculty have today. UnionPay cards can be used both in Russia and abroad. The cards are expected to become available to international students and faculty at UrFU as early as mid-April.
