University students met with a Paralympian [photo report]

Ural Federal University held a meeting of students and lecturers with two-time champion of the Winter Paralympic Games, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Aleksey Moshkin. The meeting included the screening of the film "From the Bottom of the Peak" - the plot of the film is inspired by the story of Aleksey's life.

After watching the film, the people were able to ask the athlete questions. They were interested in how the rehabilitation took place, what is the situation with the centers for athletes with disabilities in Russia nowadays, what makes a Paralympic athlete strong. Also Aleksey Moshkin gave autographs to everyone.

The meeting with the athlete took place within the festival "We can do anything!", which takes place in Ural Federal University from May 24 to 27.

"Festivals like this are very necessary to raise awareness. When people with disabilities are involved in such events, it strengthens them. It shows that they are not forgotten, that they can be helped, that a person is needed in society," shared Aleksey Moshkin's opinion.

He also noted that he is considering becoming a lecturer at UrFU and writing his PhD thesis.
