11 University Professors Are Winners of the Grant Contest

Vladimir Potanin Foundation summed up the results

The Vladimir Potanin Foundation has announced the results of its scholarship competition for graduate teachers. The list of winners includes representatives of 58 universities. The Ural Federal University is the winner in terms of the number of applications which is 40. The university is also the leader in the number of winners - 11.

"The application was submitted for the development of an English language course "Technologies of Electric Power Generation". The course is technical, dedicated to the global energy transition. This transition is currently taking place in the global energy industry. It is connected with significant structural changes of fuel and energy complex towards decentralization of management and development of clean renewable energy. I think that the video course is in great demand both among Russian and foreign students. The creation of the online course will allow to enrich the joint educational program of the Master's degree with Taiyuan University of Technology (China) in terms of educational content and online educational technologies," said Stanislav Eroshenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Engineering and Electrotechnology Systems at the Ural Federal University.

Grants are awarded in four categories: New Master's Program, New Study Course, New Online Study Course, and New Methods and Technologies in Teaching. Winners receive a grant of up to 500,000 rubles, which must be implemented within 12 months.

"This is the second time I have won a scholarship from the Potanin Foundation, which is very rewarding. This year I applied for a practical course "Modern Concepts of Dairy Products Production" in Russian and English. The course is implemented as part of the bilingual educational Master's degree "Food Biotechnology". Together with the graduates we will develop innovative products for companies," said Elena Kovaleva, Professor of the Department of Technology of Organic Synthesis at the Ural Federal University.

Also among the winners of the Ural Federal University: Polina Ambarova, Irina Bazhukova, Yulia But, Natalia Karavaeva, Pavel Matrenin, Yulia Mokerova, Aleksey Ogorodnikov, Natalia Papulovskaya and Aleksandr Sergeev.

A total of 1,023 people showed interest in this year's competition. After screening, 433 applications from 66 universities were admitted to the exam. According to the results of the competition, 150 winners were determined and five teachers were included in the reserve list.
