International University Sports Festival Attracts 3,500 Volunteers

Applications for the International Festival of University Sport volunteer programme are now open. The Festival will be held in Ekaterinburg from 19 to 31 August 2023. Approximately 3,500 volunteers will be recruited. They will be involved in all stages of the preparation and implementation of the competition - from the arrival and accommodation of participants to cooperation with the media, broadcasters, including language assistance.

Anyone can join the event. Applicants have to be 18 years old at the start of the competition. The deadline for applying is June.

Applying for the Festival's volunteer programme is possible online. Candidates need to be prepared for an interview and several stages of training.

The International University Sports Festival with the participation of teams from BRICS, SCO and CIS countries will be held in Yekaterinburg from 19 to 31 August 2023. Competitions will be carried out in 14 sports: badminton, basketball 3×3, boxing, volleyball, judo, mini-football, table tennis, swimming, diving, sambo, wrestling, tennis, taekwondo and rhythmic gymnastics. There will be 193 medal sets. More than 240 universities from 94 countries will take part. A total of 3400 athletes will participate.
