The "Total Dictation" campaign on April 8 brought together 250 participants in the Demidov Hall of the Ural Federal University. The university became the largest venue in Ekaterinburg. Konstantin Zushchik, the host of "Vesti-Ural" and "Utro Rossii.Ural" and a lecturer at the UrFU Basic Department of Television and New Media, was the moderator of the event.

This year the text for the campaign was written by the writer and journalist Vasily Avchenko. It is dedicated to Vladimir Arsenyev, traveler, writer, explorer of the Far East. The second part of the text was written in Ekaterinburg.

"The Total Dictation for the Ural Federal University is not only a campaign to promote literacy, which is very important. It is also an excuse for our graduates of different years to return to the university desk at least for an hour," the university noted.

The works of the participants will be traditionally examined by senior philology students under the guidance of Anna Plotnikova, Director of the Department of Philology. This is a long-standing practice of the active participation of the university in the "Total Dictation".

The number of mistakes and their grade for the written dictation will be available on the project website after April 16.
