Delegation from Uzbekistan Met with Ural Students

Participants discussed strategic partnership, religion, and tolerance

On April 11, Abdusalom Hatamov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ekaterinburg, and Ibrohimov Khusankhon Domla, Imam-Hatib of Namangan, met with Uzbek students of the Ural State University of Railway Transport and the Ural Federal University. The event took place on the premises of the UrFU Boiling Point (66 Lenin Avenue).

During the meeting the Consul General emphasized the importance of Russia for Uzbekistan as a strategic partner and urged the students to contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations.

The Imam, who spoke to the students in their native language, reminded them of the importance of tolerance in human relations. He also explained various aspects of the practice of Islam and answered the questions of the students.

The students thanked their compatriots for the meeting.
