The Organizing Committee of the 40th May Walk has announced a contest "Become the Face of May Walk". Participants should tell why they are taking part in this event on their page in the VK social network by April 26. They should also attach photos from any walk to the post and use the hashtag #яВыбираюМайскую2023 (I choose May Walk 2023).

On April 28, the results of the competition will be summarized and published in the VK group of the May Walk. The Organizing Committee will select the five best stories. Their authors will appear on billboards and become the faces of the Walk. Five other authors will receive branded gifts.

This year the participants can choose from five routes from 10 to 50 km. In the eastern and southern part of the city there will be routes of traditional distances. These are the territory of the park named after Russian foresters, Shartashsky, Sanatorny, Nizhne-Isetsky and Uktussky forest parks. The shortest route will go around the city pond and through the squares of Ekaterinburg. Finish all participants traditionally near the main academic building of the Ural Federal University.

The event will take place on May 21. You can register on the event's website. The start of the walk is from 7:00 to 12:00. The end is at 21:00. At the event you can pass the norms of physical training and participate in the planting of the forest.
