The Ural Federal University offers this year's applicants individual educational paths, project-based learning, and technological entrepreneurship. Victor Koksharov, the rector of the Ural Federal University, spoke today about who should choose the university as a way of life.

"University fosters critical thinking and lifelong learning, which is especially important in an age when technology is changing our lives every day. In addition, university is the place where important social connections are made that a person will use throughout his or her life. We see this in our active alumni community," says Koksharov.

The Ural Federal University remains one of the most multidisciplinary universities and has maintained its leadership in terms of enrollment in Russia. This year the university offers 9,876 budget-financed places.

"This year we are opening enrollment in three new programs. Among them are the Specialist's degree program in Pharmacy and two other Master's degree programs in Technosphere Security and Law", Kosharov added.

The rector also emphasized that the Ural Federal University has 130 directions and 163 educational programs of Bachelor's and Specialist's degrees, 90 directions and 195 educational programs of Master's degrees. He also noted that interest in Russian education continues to grow in the world, which is reflected in the growing number of foreign students.

Online admissions for international applicants will begin on June 1 through the Applicant Personal Account on the university's website. Entrance exams begin on June 20.
