354 Students Graduate from Joint Education Programs in the People's Republic of China

The graduation ceremony was held at the Ural Institute of North China University

In the city of Zhengzhou (People's Republic of China) the Ural Institute of North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower held a graduation ceremony for 354 students enrolled in joint educational programs with the Ural Federal University. There are five Bachelor degree programs: "Civil Engineering", "Water Supply and Sewage Disposal", "Geodesy and Remote Sensing", "Heat Power and Heat Engineering", "Architecture".

"This is the first graduation party for students, although it's not our first graduation. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to cancel the graduation ceremony. The graduates were very excited and prepared for the ceremony. Our joint undergraduate programs with UrFU are the best in Henan Province. Our graduates find jobs quickly and are considered good specialists thanks to the unification of the educational potential of China and Russia," said Wang Weishu, the Head of the Ural Institute.

The graduates were congratulated by the heads of the university, the administration of the Ural Institute and the representatives of the Ural Federal University. The best graduates and faculty members received memorable gifts. Also students prepared and performed a gala concert.

"The celebration was very bright, beautiful and wonderful. Especially impressive were the performances of the students in their national languages (students from 10 different small nationalities of China study at the Ural Institute): they sang songs and played national instruments", - shared her impressions Alena Nevolina, the Head of the UrFU Department of Academic Development and the Head of the joint program development and implementation with the People's Republic of China.

The graduates of the Ural Institute are the achievement of a fusion of Russian and Chinese educational cultures. This tendency will further contribute to the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China.

The Ural Institute of North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower has already graduated 525 graduates from the joint Bachelor's degree programs implemented with the Ural Federal University. In 2023, there are 360 graduates.
