The Ural Federal University took the 6th place in Russia in terms of "Brand " in the national ranking of universities. Over the year the university managed to move up three positions. In addition, the university moved up two places in the "Socialization" indicator (12th place) and six places in the "Cooperation" indicator (9th place).

As part of the rating study, the activity of 368 universities in Russia was assessed. All the country's leading universities were included in the rating: 28 national research universities, 10 federal universities, 32 strategically important universities, as well as 98 universities participating in the "Priority 2030" program. In addition, the activities of seven non-state universities were assessed.

The evaluation of universities was based on the processing of data from questionnaires submitted by universities, available public data published by educational institutions on their websites, public data from information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and information from the SPARK-Interfax and SCAN-Interfax information and analysis systems.
