Victor Koksharov, the rector of the Ural Federal University, has been awarded the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, First Degree. This is stated in the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The degree of his involvement in the issues of university life is very high. This applies not only to government programs and megaprojects, but also to issues of day-to-day operations. Victor Koksharov is a man of broad knowledge, powerful intellect, excellent memory, and the ability to make responsible decisions. Today the Ural Federal University enters a new stage in its history. Already in September the university will develop the Novokoltsovsky campus. And the high state award is considered by the university staff not only as a recognition of the merits of our head, but also as a high assessment of UrFU's readiness to develop in the conditions of digital transformation," says Dmitry Bugrov.

Dmitry Mramorov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SKB Kontur, also commented on the award to Victor Koksharov.
