The high quality of education at the Ural Federal University will be confirmed by government experts

Experts appointed by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) have arrived at the Ural Federal University. They are going to conduct quality control check of UrFU's education programmes as a part of the state accreditation process.

"Till 19 January the experts - vice-rectors of the leading Russian universities among them - will be working at our institutes. At the same time our students will be tested", UrFU Rector Viktor Koksharov said.  "The result of their work will be the experts' report which will mean that the university is accredited for 5 years".

In Russia, as in most countries, higher educational institutions must get a permission from the state to implement educational activities.  The crucial assessment criterion of the state accreditation is the compliance of education programmes' contents and quality with the federal state education standards and requirements.  Accreditation is given for a 5-year period.

The state accreditation certificate enables the university to confer Bachelor's and Master's degree and offer post-graduate programmes.  Diplomas granted by an accredited university are authorized by the state and are accepted by all Russian employers. They can also be easily nostrificated abroad.
