Czech Business Takes Interest in Cooperation with UrFU

Representatives of Czech companies are keen on cooperation with Ural Federal University

A large business delegation from the Czech Republic visited Ural Federal University. 35 entrepreneurs led by Zdeněk Zbytek, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czech consortium "CZET", met UrFU Rector Viktor Koksharov.

The participants of the meeting were sure that common interests of Czech business and Russian higher education are based on training specialists in power engineering, economics, and other fields of knowledge. Long-standing connections between the two countries offer new possibilities for further cooperation development in the educational as well as in production sphere.

This time the main objective of the Czech delegation was to negotiate the building of heat supply stations and systems in the towns and cities of Sverdlovsk region. The project will be funded by Czech banks. The University is ready to serve as an experimental and research platform for the project.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
