How Do Latin American Students Study at UrFU?

UrFU students Fernando Jonathan Polanco Espino (Peru) and Jeremmy Alexander Molina Barriga (Ecuador), as well as Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations Ilya Kuzmin, took part in the latest episode of Gorod FM.

Students from Latin America answered the most frequently asked questions. Why do Latin Americans have such unique names? And most importantly, how and why did young people from Peru and Ecuador move to Ekaterinburg, to the Ural Federal University? And how did they master the Russian language so fast?

Ilya Kuzmin talked about the opportunities that the university offers to international students, about participation in international festivals, and about the fact that fathers from Suriname have not yet come to study with us, but their daughters are already here.

The participants of the meeting talked about going to a Russian sauna, bananas and dumplings, meeting Russian girls, and football. In addition, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Latin American Association talked about work, research, the Russian winter, and helping passers-by.
