They solved a case in the Nuclear Potential competition and won first place

The team that solved the case "Application of thermal energy storages" in the competition "Nuclear potential" received a certificate for 50 thousand rubles for further development of the project. The results of the competition were summarized at the end of April at the public defense of projects.

The second and third places were taken by the projects "Methods of minimizing the limitations of gas turbine units in the hot period" and "Development of a technical solution to control impulse overvoltages in the networks of an industrial enterprise and reduce their impact on the equipment". The students received cash prizes of 35 thousand and 25 thousand rubles respectively.

"Throughout the competition, the students traveled to production facilities seven times to delve deeper into the problems of their cases, attended six master classes with the competition partners, and presented their projects to energy industry experts three times. On behalf of the Institute's administration, I congratulate the winners on their well-deserved awards and thank all project participants for their valuable contributions and efforts. The "Nuclear Potential" contest of research and engineering works and engineering developments of students in the field of power engineering was held for the fourth time in the Ural Power Engineering Institute. This year the project was realized with the support of the UrFU Foundation Fund (Energetika Endowment Fund), which is actively replenished by the Institute's partners, including SVEL Group JSC, EL5-Energo PJSC, Prosoft-Systems LLC, and T Plus PJSC.
