The First Graduates of Hainan College of Economics and Business of UrFU Received Diplomas

Cooperation with the college is successfully developing

The delegation of the Hainan University of Economics and Business has paid an official visit to the Urals Federal University. During the meeting with the Ural Federal University administration the cooperation, the results of the work of the Ural Institute of the Hainan College of Economics and Business, the joint preparation for the evaluation of the educational project by the commission of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the development of joint projects were discussed.

According to Sergey Knyazev, Director of Academic Affairs, the joint educational project has proven its effectiveness:

"At the Ural Institute, we are implementing four joint Bachelor's programs: "Financial Management", "Software Technology", "Electronic and Mechanical Systems Integration Technologies" and "Tourism Management". During their studies at URFU students actively participated in research and adaptive activities organized for them by the Chinese-Russian Institute: international conferences, sports and business games, science days, etc.".

The Joint Ural Institute of the Hainan College of Economics and Business was opened in 2020, at that time the Institute organized 200 Chinese students in four joint Bachelor's degree programs. This is the second such project for UrFU. In the spring of 2024, a representative office of the UrFU Chinese Alumni Association was established in Haikou (Hainan Province, PRC) on the basis of the Ural Institute.

This summer the first 63 students successfully defended their qualification works and received their diplomas from the Ural Federal University. One of them was among the hundred best graduates of the university. In June the Russian-Chinese Institute of the UrFU held a graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, the Institute also awarded prizes to outstanding graduates in recognition of their achievements.
