Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology is key partner

Staff training and joint scientific research between Ural Federal University and Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology should reach a qualitatively new level very shortly. Both UrFU and its key partner in the Republic of Uzbekistan are interested in this.

Several important agreements were reached during the visit of a representative delegation from Uzbekistan headed by Rector Odiljon Mamatkarimov to UrFU.

First of all, it concerns the academic exchange of students in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, and the organization of educational, research, and pedagogical practice. The parties will also exchange experience in educational and methodological work, and hold joint conferences, round tables, lectures, and master classes, including online lectures.

Another important part of the agreements is the development of joint double degree programs. Scientists from the two universities will also develop joint scientific research.

"Ural Federal University is a leading university not only in the Urals but also in the whole of Russia. It has always been an example of quality education and scientific research for us. Of course, we are interested in developing cooperation with such a powerful partner. We have visited you at the Ural Advanced Engineering School and the Chempharm Center. I am sure that we will be able to cooperate productively in these areas. Thank you for the warm welcome, and we are always glad to see you in Uzbekistan, at our university. We have many tasks that can be effectively solved by joint efforts," said Odiljon Mamatkarimov.

Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology was founded in 1968. The main directions of the Institute's activity are textile, light, and polygraphic industry, food technology, machinery and equipment for electrical and power engineering, chemical technologies, automation of technological processes, and landscaping. At present, bachelors are trained at the Institute in 23 directions, and masters - in seven specialties.
