The construction of the second phase of the campus of the Ural Federal University in Ekaterinburg is on schedule, the developer company reports. The thermal cycle of all the educational buildings will be completed in the fall, and they are scheduled to be put into operation by the end of next year.

"The works on the foundations of the buildings have been completed, and the monolithic structures of the second, third and fourth floors are under construction. In the building of the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems the works on the insulation of the facade and the roofing have started, and in the area of the Specialized Education and Research Center, the landscaping works have already started. It is planned to complete the thermal cycle of all the facilities by the beginning of the new heating season. Construction is proceeding on schedule, with more than 700 people working on the sites", said Timur Ufimtsev, General Director of Sinara-Development.

Thus, the first stage of the UrFU campus was built, which includes comfortable dormitories for 8.5 thousand places, the first educational building - the Community Center - and a medical center, a training ground with athletic tracks, sports fields, recreational areas, road and road network, engineering facilities.

The second stage of the project includes the construction of educational buildings of the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems, the Graduate School of Economics and Management, and the Specialized Education and Research Center of UrFU. The total area of the buildings will be 100 thousand square meters. About 9 thousand people will study there.

The construction of the campus is the most important project for scientific and technological development, as well as for attracting talented young people to the regions.
