University established scientific collaboration with Kazakhstan

UrFU First Vice-Rector Dmitry Bugrov and the Chairman of the Board of National Scientific-Technological Holding Parasat, Abdikarim Zeinullin, have signed Memorandum of Cooperation on May 22. The cooperation is aimed to develop scientific potential and transfer of technologies.

According to the document, Russian and Kazakh scientists will work together on projects in the fields of mineral and water resources development, energetics and pharmaceutics.

National Scientific and Technological Holding "Parasat" unites the efforts of reputable schools of Kazakhstan, creating conditions for the commercialization of technologies.

The signing took at the Economic Forum in Astana. Tthe delegation headed by UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov participated in the meeting of the Kazakhstan Alumni Association of UPI, USU and UrFU. The head of the Association became Nurtai Abykayev, the President of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences, who graduated from UPI Mechanical Faculty in 1970.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
