William Poucher was pleased with the preparations for the ACM ICPC and amazed by the hospitality of Ekaterinburg

On June 18, members of the organizing committee of the ACM ICPC 2014, which will be held on June 22-26 in Ekaterinburg, met with the governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev. The meeting with the governor was also attended by UrFU rector Viktor Koksharov, the First Vice Rector Dmitry Bougrov and Alexander Sidorenko, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Sverdlovsk region.

William Poucher said that he was happy with everything and especially with the hospitality of the host country. "Everything is completely in line with our expectations. Unfortunately, we have the experience, when not everything works as planned. But today I have no doubt that the final in Ekaterinburg will be wonderful!", - said the representative of the ACM ICPC.

William Poucher also noted that Ekaterinburg has a great chance to win. He thinks that members of the team of UrFU Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Oleg Merkuriev, Denis Mukhametianov and Alexander Krasnoselskikh, are bright and promising programmers.

With the support of the city administration and the regional administration UrFU representatives have done everything to organize this important international event. UrFU Students' Union prepared a parallel program, called "Territory of the unique entertainments. The citizens and visitors will have an opportunity to participate in various activities during the whole period of the competitions.
