Another Step to Establishing Technological Cluster

INNOPROM: UrFU and SKB Kontur signed a memorandum of cooperation on building a technological cluster

SKB Kontur will take part in establishing the Center of science and education “Information and telecommunication technologies and systems”, as well as in implementing related projects of the Ural university technological cluster.

The memorandum on implementing the project of establishing the technological cluster based on UrFU was signed by UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov and SKB Kontur Managing Director Dmitry Mramorov.

“Establishing a technological cluster can solve the task of creating a global university, able to compete with the top world universities. The project has already been approved by the federal and regional authorities, who rated the university’s potential very high,” said UrFU Rector.

Viktor Koksharov presented the project of the university technological cluster to the representatives of scientific community, business, industry and authority on July 10 at INNOPROM. The technological cluster located on the bank of Lake Shartash will include the new university campus, technological hi-tech park, industrial park, technology implementation and industry zones.  

The building of the cluster started on September 2, 2013, when the first brick of the Center of science and education “Information and telecommunication technologies and systems” was laid.
