Collaboration between UrFU and the universities of Belarus

UrFU Rector, Victor Koksharov, has reached a number of important agreements with colleagues during a business trip to Minsk

On October 14, the agreement on cooperation between Ural Federal University and Belarusian National Technical University was signed by Victor Koksharov, UrFU Rector, and a rector of BNTU, Michael Khrustalyov in Minsk.

The heads of universities agreed on the establishment and implementation of a joint Master’s program in the field of technical regulation, standardization and certification. In addition, Russian and Belarusian universities will cooperate in the field of laser technology in machine building within the frames of the project developed by the regional engineering center of laser and additive technologies, which was created by UrFU in partnership with the Government of the Sverdlovsk region.

Another agreement on scientific and academic collaboration was signed by UrFU and Belarusian State University. According to the document, universities will develop a joint master's program on parallel computing and supercomputing technologies.

 “Together with colleagues from the universities of Belarus, we intend to increase the number of exchange students and to conduct joint research,” - said Victor Koksharov.

We would like to remind, that these days the delegation of the Sverdlovsk region, headed by Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev, visits the Republic of Belarus. UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov met with a Prime Minister of the Republic, Mikhail Myasnikovich, and discussed the possibility of organizing professional championships conducted by the international rules of the competition World Skills in Ekaterinburg in collaboration with Belorussian universities.
