According to Sergey Kravtsov, training of specialists must be closely linked to the concept of territory development

The training of specialists for the region must be closely linked to the concept of the socio-economic development. This was announced at a meeting with rectors of universities in the Ural Federal District Urals Federal Universityby the head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) Sergey Kravtsov.

As a positive example he talked about cooperation between UrFU and regional government on the revival of the Ural School of Engineering, the results of which has been presented by UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov and the Minister of Secondary and Vocational Education of the SverdlovskR Yuri Biktuganov.

Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the sphere of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Russia Svyatoslav Sorokin in his speech also noted the positive experience of creating basic department, which in the near future will receive regulatory framework, on the example of the interaction between UrFU and Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil.

Expanded meeting of the regional (district) commission for assessing the quality of higher education was held on November 16 at Ural Federal University. The participants of the meeting were the rectors of the universities of the Ural Federal District.
