Readings Devoted to 70th Anniversary of UN in Russia to Take Place at UrFU next Spring

The director of the United Nations Information Center in Moscow visited the University for the first time

The readings devoted to the 70th anniversary of the opening of the United Nations Information Center in Moscow will take place at Ural Federal University next spring. The decision was taken at a meeting between the Director of the Information Center Vladimir Kuznetsov and the Rector of UrFU Victor Koksharov.

‘I am pleased to visit the University, which is a pillar of science and education in the Urals,’ said Vladimir Kuznetsov, ‘We see UrFU as a supporting point in the region and a reliable partner in the UN Association.’

In accordance with the main priorities of the UN’s agenda, the upcoming readings will be dedicated to peacebuilding and sustainable development.

In addition to that, in autumn 2018, the Department of International Relations is planning to hold the UN Model – a role-playing game, where students reproduce the work of the organization's departments. This was stated by associate professor of the Department of Theory and History of International Relations Alexander Burnasov and the Head of the Department professor Valery Mikhailenko.
