UrFU Receives A+ for Quality of Teaching from European Experts

University’s research and demand for graduates were noted, too

Quality of teaching at Ural Federal University meets the high European standards: the European Scientific-Industrial Chamber presented the new ranking of world universities ARES-2018, where UrFU was graded A+.

“The Ranking only includes those universities where education quality meets the European teaching standards”, the authors say. “Out of 766 Russian universities only 188 were able to enter the Ranking this year”.

According to the Ranking, UrFU also demonstrates high quality of research and high demand for graduates by employers. In the A+ group, UrFU was joined by ITMO University, MGIMO University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Financial University and others. 

ARES rating data are processed automatically, the authors say, and the evaluation criteria are based on the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), which were approved by the ministers responsible for higher education.

The ARES-2018 Ranking includes 32 Russian universities graded AA+, AA, A+ and A, which demonstrated the highest teaching quality.
