UrFU Postgraduate Student Wins in International Paralympic Competitions

Elena Tretyakova set a new personal record

Two gold medals were won at the Grand Prix in Athletics of the International Paralympic Committee by postgraduate student of Ural Federal University Elena Tretyakova. She won the races at 200 and 400 meters. In the latter, the athlete set a new personal record, improving the result from 1.06.15 to 1.05.90.

Competitions were held in Tunis from June 24 to July 1. The Russian team included ten athletes with musculoskeletal disorders.

The plans of Elena Tretyakova include participation in the Russian Athletics Championship in Cheboksary. The competitions will be the selection for the World Cup, which are to be held in November in Doha (Qatar).
