Moscow Physics and Technology Institute and UrFU cooperate to create a Master program for 2021

A new master's program in the field of Information Security is being launched by the Ural Federal University with the participation of the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute. Recruitment for the program will begin in 2021.

According to Andrei Sozykin, Vice-Rector for the Development of Educational Activities of UrFU, the project will create a fundamentally new information security program through interaction with experts from MIPT, as well as with the program's industrial partner - the Ural Center for Security Systems (UTSS). This approach is expected to provide high quality program content and increase student appeal.

The program "Information Security in ISPDN, GIS and Significant Objects of CII" will include 22 disciplines, among them - legal aspects of information security, the organization of secure network communications, methods and tools for analyzing big data.

“In recent years, we have managed to build fruitful cooperation with UrFU,” noted the founder of the USSC Andrei Antipinsky. “We set the task not only to prepare and select the best students, but also to create creative thematic laboratories on the basis of specialized institutes of the university, which will allow combining scientific and educational potential with our experience of working with customers and the possibility of bringing the latest developments to the market”.

The program is created under the competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the development of advanced educational programs of higher education in cooperation with Russian universities included in the top 200 subject global rankings.
