UrFU is one of the first to launch mass vaccination of its staff, says Rector

Ural Federal University's Medical Unit begins voluntary vaccination for faculty and staff members. The university received both components of the Sputnik V vaccine for 500 people.

“UrFU is one of the first to launch mass vaccination of its staff. We care about your health, so I urge my colleagues to get acquainted with the indications and, if sure, take advantage of this opportunity”, - points the UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov.

To administer the vaccine, you will need to read the official information list, fill out a patient's questionnaire and sign a consent, the documents are available on the university portal. Those who had been tested COVID-19 positive in the last six months should not be vaccinated until further notice.

“ I can say that the Sputnik V vaccine is good. I was vaccinated in October as a volunteer, is safe, effective and gives a good immune response,” adds Rector.

Vaccination is carried out in the medical unit of UrFU on the street. Komsomolskaya, 59 in office number 20. Patients must stay under medical observation after the shot of the vaccine for half an hour. All employees will need to fill out self-observation diaries on the public services portal. The second component is injected 21 days later.
