The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the decree

Doctor of History, Professor of Ural Federal University, Head of the Center of Political and Socio-Cultural History of the Institute of History and Archeology of Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Speransky was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation. The decree "On State Awards" was signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Medals of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree were awarded to Leonid Katsnelson, leading researcher of the Ural Federal University Research Laboratory "Mathematical Modeling in Physiology and Medicine Based on Supercomputers" and leading researcher of the Institute of Immunology and Physiology, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As well as graduates of the university: Sergey Bershitsky, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Immunology and Physiology, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Olga Romanova, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Economics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
