Record Number of State-Funded Places: the University Admission Campaign Has Begun

It is possible to apply to UrFU both in-person and online

On June 20, the Ural Federal University started admitting documents. This year the university is ready to admit more than 9,400 applicants for state-funded places. Documents can be submitted both in person in the Main Academic Building of Ural Federal University (19 Mira Street), and online through the personal account of the applicant and the portal of state services. In addition, this can be done by mail.

"This number of state-funded places is a record for us: an increase of 26% over last year. This year we are also leaders in the country, ranking first in terms of the number of state-funded students. We are expecting not only Russian students, but also students from near and far abroad countries," said Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.

All summer in the hall in front of the Assembly Hall of the Main Academic Building the selection committees of the institutes will be working. Specialists are ready to advise applicants and their parents on studying at Ural Federal University.

"All my family studied at the Ural Federal University, so I knew from childhood where I would go. I am very happy that this moment has finally arrived and I will become a student," said Yulia Babushkina, an applicant and a graduate of the UrFU Specialized Research and Education Center.

The university appreciates future students with an active attitude to life - the applicant can get extra points for winning competitions and contests from the list approved by the rector, passing the standards of Ready for Labor and Defense, active volunteer work, a diploma or a diploma with honors. In this case, the sum of added points cannot exceed 10.
