Folk Dances and Songs in Different Languages: University Participated in the Night of Arts

On November 4, the traditional annual event "Night of Arts" took place all over Russia. Among the sites in Ekaterinburg was the main academic building of the Ural Federal University. The event at the university was called "World Art Connects" ("MIR"). Foreign students, representatives of consulates and residents of the city were the guests. In total, Ural Federal University was visited by several hundred people.

Students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, China, Tajikistan, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Latin America and African countries presented the cultures of their countries. They performed folk dances and songs in their native languages. The event was also attended by UrFU creative teams and a dance group of the UrFU Confucius Institute.

In addition, guests could see an exhibition of folk costumes, steelwork paintings made by students, watercolor works by Aleksandra Steiner, an employee of the university, and colorful photos from the UrFU Photo Club.

The event was organized by Ural Federal University's International Students Adaptation Center.
