Ural Federal University to Develop Cooperation with the University of South Bohemia

The memorandum on cooperation between UrFU and the University of South Bohemia was signed during the opening ceremony of the Czech Republic-Russia Business Forum

The Czech Republic-Russia Business Forum started in Ekaterinburg on November, 24. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman. He expressed his gratitude to the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeniy Kuivashev for the fact that the region is still keeping the memory of the Czech Legionnaires of the Civil War and that 50 students of Ural Federal University are learning the Czech language.

The First Vice-Rector of UrFU Dmitry Bugrov and the Vice-rector for International Relations of University of South Bohemia Radka Závodská signed a memorandum on cooperation between the universities in the fields of academic mobility and science. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Miloš Zeman and Evgeny Kuyvashev. During the forum, Dmitry Bugrov presented information about the current cooperation between UrFU and the Czech universities. At the moment, UrFU has 21 partner universities in the Czech Republic.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
