University students won the second place in Finswimming

Ekaterina Nalimova and Yevgeny Smirnov showed great results at the World Championship

Students-athletes from Ural Federal University successfully performed at the National Universiade on Underwater Sport; they brought three silver medals to Ekaterinburg.

Ekaterina Nalimova, the third year student of UrFU Civil Engineering Institute won two silver medals at 800 and 400 meters distance, while the graduate student of UrFU Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy Evgeny Smirnov became the second in the 400 meter race.

We would like to remind that Ekaterina Nalimova is a master of sports of Russia, and Yevgeny Smirnov is an honored master of sports of Russia.

The Natioal Universiade on Underwater Sport was held in Krasnoyarsk, the competitions were attended by students from 19 Russian universities.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
