Students From 17 Nations Joined Online School Organized by Graduate School of Economics and Management

Participants representing Italy, Germany, France, China, Russia, and other countries started International Autumn School on Sustainable Development

The creative developer is the team of the International Economics and Business programme with support of the International Affairs Office.

“Students from international business schools will take part in interactive educational workshops from lecturers and corporate partners to develop professional competencies in the ideology of implementing sustainable development goals. The Autumn School offers the opportunity to gain useful new normal skills through multidisciplinary modules of an exciting programme” 

“The school is focused on developing sustainable mindset, business and entrepreneurial skills, cross-cultural adaptability, and research knowledge,” said Dmitry Tolmachev, the director of Graduate school of Economics and management welcomed international teams of students, professors and corporates.

This year, participants will remotely visit the Unilever factory and discuss cases together with Irina Antyushina, Head of Sustainable Business Development and Corporate Relations, Unilever; go on a virtual tour of the Coca-Cola factory and learn about the company's significant social and environmental projects from Alexander Gorbachev, Sustainability Manager Coca-Cola HBC Russia; participants will also learn how to measure impact investments under the guidance of Ivan Kukhnin, Director of Sustainable Development Services at Deloitte.

Vitaly Nedelsky, Founder and Chief Business Development Officer of Semantic Hub, will narrate about smart startups and implementation of change in a world of growing complexity.

With the support of Sberbank, Dmitry Zakarlyukin, eco-activist, social entrepreneur, creator of Veschevorot, Ecotaxi and other projects, will attend the Autumn School with a practice-oriented master class.

Aishe Agekyan, Meeting place manager of MEGA Ekaterinburg, will talk about the glocal strategy of the international brand IKEA.

Moreover, an exciting online quest and game "Freedom of Thought" on the Sustainable Development Goals awaits the School participants, which will be led by Anna Kovaleva, Project Managers of the Museum of the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.

School is not only about learning! A cultural programme, acquaintance with Yekaterinburg as a capital of the Urals and networking await the participants of the international project. 

At the end of the School, students will generate ideas for business development within the framework of urgent tasks of the global economy, present projects to a jury of corporate partners and international scientists, and, of course, receive certificates with 5 ECTS.
